Before scheduling a consultation with me, try to have as much of the following information as possible:
- How many guests you expect - this determines the size of cake you will need
- Date, time, and address of reception - I need to know in advance when I am expected to arrive, and if there will be any scheduling conflicts with other appointments I may have
- Your budget - This will help us determine what type of decorations are best for you (also see pricing info)
- An idea of what kind of design you would like. If you have pictures and/or color samples, this will help me get the idea that you have.
- Flavors - look at my flavor list to get some ideas of what you and your guests might want. If you have a new flavor, tell me, and I'll see what I can find.
- Real, silk, or handmade icing- It is important that I know what types of flowers you want on your cake, as this determines where they will come from. Real flowers are typically added onto your already existing order, and silk flowers can either be bought by you or myself.
- Have a check ready when you arrive, because if you confirm a wedding date with me, I will need half of your payment up front.
- Any special circumstances you might have, such as food allergies, unusual location, etc.
