I was born and raised in Sturgis, KY. I was in the US Navy for eight years as a nuclear chemist in Norfolk, VA. I recently moved to Idaho Falls where I found out how much I loved the mountains and outdoors. I have finally gotten my bagel shop up and running, and finally get to bake for a living. I enjoy the outdoors immensely, and I love to hang out with my two beautiful dogs.
I am a third generation cake decorator. I started helping my mom when I was around 12 years old, and made my first cake when I was 15, my first wedding cake when I was 21. I enjoy making cakes as a hobby, and it is just a wonderful thing to be a part of someone's most important day.
Making cakes is an artistic outlet for me. I thoroughly enjoy a good challenge when it comes to making a unique cake, not only with wedding cakes, but sculpted cakes as well. A cake should be a focal point of an occasion - why make it look like everyone else's?
